It happened again! I write about something that may happen in the future and it does!

In Regina’s World, I make use of the gene manipulation technology Crispr.  Trust me, in Regina’s hands, it’s not used in a good way.

One thing she wants to use it for is to extend her own life indefinitely.   I looked when I wrote that part and could find no one seriously considering doing this in the way I described in the book.

But yesterday, a paper in Australia published a story that seems to point in the same direction I was heading.  Darn it!!  Stop copying me!
